In 1925 Kansas State Cenus she was living with her daughter Leota’s family in Aubry, Johnson county. That was the year after her husband died. Tillie Johnson Lee was living with them too. Tillie was living with Katie with Leota’s family in 1930 Federal census.

Isabelle Katy Woodruff was born to Alanson Arthur Woodruff and Lovisa Rönn Larson Jonasson on 23 Apr 1872 in Camden, Rock Island County, Illinois.She was the second child of the marriage. Both parents had children from earlier marriages.

Soon the family moved to Burrton, KS (in Reno then Harvey county??) where her parents ran a hotel. The 1875 Kansas census indicates Alanson and Lovisa were living there with 8 of Kathy’s siblings and half-siblings.

In 1925 she was newly widowed and living with her daughter Leota Sandstedt’s family in Aubry, Johnson County, KS. Also living there was Katy’s half sister Tillie Woodruff Lee. Tillie was a child of the marriage of Alanson Arthur and Charlotte Phileo.
