Clarence E. McCartney

Clarence E. McCartney, 63, died at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 1535 South Kimbrough, following a brief illness. For the past 25 years, he had been chief engineer at State Teachers' college, and prior to that, was an engineer with the old Frisco hospital association. He was a member of the First and Calvary church and of the Redman lodge. Survivors are the widow, Louise; two sons, John, who is principal and coach at Cuba, Mo. high school, and Charles, who is in officers training school at Camp Davis, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. John Long and Mrs. Mattie Dodd, both of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Pauline Lodge of Springfield and a granddaughter. Arrangements will be in charge of the Herman Lohmeyer funeral home.53
