Notes for Emma BARKER
February 10, 2004:”Recently saw your website today, and was particularly interested in the individual you list as Emma Parker.  I have an Emma Barker, daughter of Joseph & Mary Kirkland Barker, who we have been tracking and notes indicate she married a J. L. Meisberger.  Emma was originally born in Kentucky and after her father's death in 1868, the family headed west to Missouri, and on to Texas. Emma had the following siblings: William H., John H., Sarah and Louisa.  By any chance could your Parker have been a Barker?” Pat Barker, prop3wash@aol.com, Sarasota, Fl

Ancestry.com provided marriage license with Barker as last name. Interestingly, the B of Barker had been corrected to emphasize the bottom loop of the B otherwise it would have been a P which is what Helen Stone listed.
