Herman E. Potter, 71 dies; Funeral to be Wednesday
Herman Emil Potter, 71, whose home is one and one-half miles northeast of Moberly, died at 2:10 o'clock yesterday morning in Woodland Hospital after a week's illness. He is survived by his wife; a son and daughter Francis J. Potter and Mrs. Mary Fraser, St. Louis; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren; three brothers and a half-brother, Walter Potter, Boonville, Ed Potter, St. Louis, George Potter,
Portal, Ariz., and Joe Stillwell, Marshall; and two sisters, Mrs. Bernie Bennett, Rockwell, and Mrs. Louise McCartney, Springfield, Mo. The body is in the Mahan Funeral Parlors, where the rosary will be said at 7:30 o'clock tonight and tomorrow night. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Pius X Church by the pastor, Msgr. John C. Mahoney. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Herman E. Potter Dies At Moberly

Herman E. Potter, who was born April 13, 1886 in Boonville, died Sunday morning in Moberly. Mr. Potter had spent his entire life in this community until a few years ago when he moved to Moberly. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic church in Moberly. He will lie in state at the Mayhan Funeral Home there until time for services. Mr. Potter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Potter; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Fraser, St. Louis; one son, Jack Potter, St. Louis; and one son, Herman J. Potter, preceded him in death. He also leaves one half-brother, J. W. Stillwell, Marshall; three brothers, W. A. Potter, Boonville, George Potter, Lordsburg, N. M., and Ed Potter, St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bennett, Rockville, Md., and Mrs. Louise McCartney, Springfield, Mo.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.53
