Narrative notes for Helen Nadine STONE
Her son, Rodger Allyn, sent these stories to me in 2016.

Sometime in the mid to late 80's Mom told me that when she was an infant, her mother was driving a horse pulled carriage or wagon with Mom aboard. The story is that the horse reared causing the wagon to tip over or crash, throwing Mom from the wagon. She said she was told that a man, caught Mom as she was thrown. I think the man was Frank Stone, Anna's brother in law.
Unfortunately, unless Mom wrote the story down, there is no documentation.
Another story Mom had actually written down, In fact, she had me read it, was her first childhood memory.
When Mom was about four, the family was gathered for a wedding. Someone had made ice cream treats shaped like watermelon slices, which pink with probably chocolate
Chips for seeds. Unfortunately there were only treats enough for adults. Mom wrote she remembers throwing a tantrum....obviously it seemed traumatic, which is why she remembered it as her first memory.
